That funny in-between season is here again when it’s chilly in the morning, warm by lunch, and you’re left standing in your closet wondering, what do I even wear?! Don’t stress, bestie. Transitioning your summer wardrobe into fall doesn’t mean packing everything away it’s about swapping, layering, and cozying things up while still getting use out of your favorite summer pieces.
Here’s how I’m making the switch:
Change Your Color Palette
Summer is all about bright colors and light tones, but fall is where those rich shades shine. Think rust, olive, mustard, chocolate, and burgundy. Even if you’re still wearing a sundress, shifting the color can instantly give it a fall vibe.
Layer Up
This is the trick for transitional weather. Throw a cardigan over your tank, a blazer over your dress, or a denim jacket over just about anything. You’ll be warm in the morning, cool enough in the afternoon, and still on theme.
Swap Your Shoes
Your sandals had a good run but now it’s time for ankle boots, loafers, ballet flats, or sneakers. They’re perfect for grounding lighter pieces and making them feel fall-ready.
Switch Accessories
Trade straw bags for leather or suede, add a lightweight scarf, maybe even a felt hat. Accessories are the fastest way to update your look without a full outfit change.
The best part? You don’t need a whole new wardrobe. With a few simple swaps, you can stretch your summer pieces and ease right into sweater weather. I would also gage your style by your location.
Are you excited for Fall?
With Love
Ireana
