Workwear Made Simple: Comfort and Style for Teachers

If you’re still struggling to figure out what to wear to work, I hope these looks give you some inspiration. One thing I always remind myself: style has no size. You can make anything look good when you feel good in it.

What helps me most is planning ahead. Sometimes I plan my outfits the night before, other times I set everything out on Sunday for the week. The only time I truly “wing it” is on teacher workdays  and on those days, you’ll usually find me in leggings or athleisure.

I dress for comfort first, but I also want to feel stylish. The truth is, comfort and fashion can coexist  it’s just about finding the balance that works for your body and your work environment.

How I Plan My Looks

    •    Mondays: Teacher tees + jeans

    •    Tuesdays–Thursdays: Rotation of pants, dresses, or skirts

    •    Fridays: Jeans + a T-shirt (casual Friday classic)

Of course, two other things always influence my choices:

    1.    Weather — Is it too hot for layers? Too cold for skirts?

    2.    Movement — Am I walking around campus a lot, or just in the classroom?

At the end of the day, comfort is always key  but with a little planning, I can feel both put-together and at ease.
